The Tooth Fairy;

As we all know, Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, used to be a wrestler but recently he has been starring in a few Disney movies.

First it was The Game Plan in 2007 as Joe Kingman,a very good football player. Then it was Race to Witch Mountain in 2009 as Jack Bruno,a ex-convict taxi driver in Las Vegas.

And finally his latest movie The Tooth Fairy!

In this movie,he is Derek Thompson. An extremely violent hockey player who has knocked out many molars and bicuspids hence was given the nickname ‘The Tooth Fairy’.

Trouble caught up with him one day when he dashed his girlfriend’s daughter’s(Destiny Whitlock) fantasy of the existence of tooth fairies..

He was then given a summon by the tooth fairy godmother(Julie Andrews) who turned his nickname into a career.

Before you even know it, Dwayne Johnson(Derek Thompson) is standing before us looking like this!

Catch the movie if you wish to know more!

I promise you wont walk out the theatres not laughing till your jaws drop! :D

The Twilight Saga : New Moon

THIS MOVIE IS AN UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT!

Never would I think that New Moon would be so boring. I was anticipating for all the action after watching Twilight. There were too few scenes of action and the whole movie was just too draggy!

New Moon continues from a few months after Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) was seen going blissfully well. Until an accident that happened on Bella’s 18th birthday, that caused Edward to leave Bella; leaving her in depression for months. Bella was able to start afresh thanks to Jacob (Taylor Lautner). When she slowly develops feelings for him, she got hurt again as Jacob had a responsibility and secret that kept him away from her. The aftermath was she felt helpless and started thinking about Edward again. Hence she did something really reckless, hoping just to see him once more. But she had no idea that putting herself in such danger actually led her to a face to face encounter with The Voultri, the most fearful vampires.

According to Den Of Geek, New Moon is supposedly a better movie than The Twilight but I seriously beg to differ. I like his reviews, very detailed but I feel its a bit too lengthy with no pictures, makes his whole site very boring.

Picture this: Having an other half that is capable of time-travelling.
Not knowing when he would time travel or where his next destination would be. Not having him by your side to celebrate the important occasions such as Christmas or even Valentine’s Day with you.
Would you still love a man who time travels?
I personally feel that this movie is very intriguing because even in normal relationships there are many obstacles. I just simply cannot imagine having tea with my love and the next minute he vanishes right in front of me. I don’t think I would be able to manage a relationship like this.
This movie is for people who are not really into time travelling because it is not a sci-fi specific of its premise. It focuses more on the emotional impact on Henry (Eric Bana) who spends his life jumping through time. Henry’s life is one of constant nudity because he cannot take his clothes with him when he time travels. He is the sole survivor of a car crash which killed his family. No matter how he tried to go back to his past to change it, he never did succeed. Then he met Clare (Rachel McAdams), the woman of his life who actually remains together with him even though she never knows when they will be seperated.
This is a sad but satisfyingly romantic tale of two people whose love is a slave to the cruel whims of unpredictable chance. Grab a box of Kleenex and drown happily in star-crossed sentiment.

My Sister’s Keeper

Ever watched movies that really reach the bottom of your heart?

This might just be it.

My Sister’s Keeper is a movie that you MUST catch. This movie relates to me well as a few of my closest family members passed away in the battle against cancer.

My grandmother was one of the few. She was diagnosed with Leukaemia last year and has been taken away from us. It was really terrible for all of us to watch her live with so much pain at her age when she is suppose to be having a good life. The toughest time was when we were gathered around her to see her for the very last time before she departed. Through this I learn that perhaps death is a relief at times.

This movie is about a girl, Kate (Sofia Vassilieva) being diagnosed with Leukaemia at a very young age. And her parents, Brian and Sara Fitzgerald (Jason Patrick and Cameron Diaz) decided to conceive another child with genetic modifications just so that they could save Kate’s life. But when Anna (Abigail Breslin) was 11-years-old, she went to a renowned lawyer and demanded medical emancipation from her parents when she found out that Kate’s condition worsen and needed a kidney transplant.

Catch it to find out more, there is a twist to the story towards the end and I promise you that you would definitely cry.

It is after reading a review from this blog that I decided that I want to catch it. Perhaps you should read it too before deciding. The review on it was so good or maybe because I like weepy movies and it states that it is one.
